I'm feeling very low because my husband has to go back home this week. I just broke down crying in the supermarket when I thought that I was planning the last meals before he left. I have to drive him to the airport and then somehow I have to drive back home alone. I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself after he's gone. I don't have any local friends or family to go see. At least he's coming back someday. I wish I knew when.

It is ok sweetie, please don't fret so much! Most of us know what you are going through for sure. Maybe now is the time to build a support network? I can't tell you how valuable I found it when I moved to CT a few years ago - my neighbors and people in my town had become like my family.

I think we might end up being in the same boat if we don't get expedited.

The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

Think about the positive that he is able to come see you while the process is progressing. We were married in Oct 2011 and still don't live together... this is the biggest disrespect of people's life...

While I got my NOA2, I know the road to NVC and final visa is going to be rough and long... :-( I was really thinking NOA2 is the milestone but now that I dig into NVC, it looks I need to think 4-6 months more...

Please dont be sad just think about all the great moments you will spend together once all this is over. I know it seems like your whole world is going down but the prize is your man being with you here and builing a future together kids etc...

do not put out negative energy rtaher embrace it and have faith thats all we got to hold on becaouse we cant honestly predict the whole USCIS thing we are just going by what we see here and what many of our VJ friends analyze for us ( BTW which is great and useful information) . Failing in love with someone whose is not in the states is a huge test and this will make you stronger.

I always made fun of my uncle because he sings to his wife all the time and he told me you will see once you are in the process you will be surprised how much you will sing. LOL so now I sing to him all the time and he sings to me . Things like this make me happy and show me that the little things do matter even if he's not here with me.

Just take it easy and try to think about the positives your goal is to have your MAN FULLTIME LOL !!! CHEER UP BABES!

Hey guys so today i checked online and i can see my case , am happy about that i mean its not an approval but at least i can see my case is in Initial review and that they supposedly changed the address request lol.

but am still waiting !!

I hear ya :( Can't stop crying recently! I think it's the not knowing when and not being able to count down the days till next seeing each other that makes it worse. I'm seriously contemplating going over on an ESTA just to be able to spend the next 3 months with hubby - but problem is I need to be here fore the next steps to do all the paperwork :( There's just no easy way of going through this process :(

Keep your chin up - I know nothing takes away the pain we are all feeling, but at least we are all in this together! It's nice to have a visa journey family who truly understand what we are going through when friends and family have never experienced it!

P.s. Noticed you guys got married in Aberdeen - is your hubby Scottish?
