I'm convinced dallas is just sitting on the casefiles.

I wouldn't be surprised. Check out the processing time estimates at: http://www.visajourney.com/content/times

New York City, NY is the farthest behind I can see from the 10 that I randomly checked. For Darnell, Dallas, TX is a little behind too. I'm perhaps considering cancelling my infopass appointment, but a part of me wants to go to the office and crack a whip and get the ball rolling, not sure if it'll do any good. They don't have I-130's listed, although that is probably because they never used to process them, and this workload transfer thing is temporary just to handle the extra applications for illegal immigrants applying for deferred action.

Sigh, I knew being transferred to the NYC office was going to be bad, I just tried to be optimistic. sad.gif

Yeah i'm sorry YA 1127, but I guess knowledge is better than nothing.

Although it still doesn't excuse USCIS from not having our cases available online, that is still a problem. I'm just hoping because they haven't touched the case, not because there's an actual problem.

Denver is slow too. Used to be 3 months to do what they have listed and those are up to 5 months. Guess my original estimate of moving in June or July is fairly accurate. Darn you VJ for getting my hopes up! hehehe. Good thing yer so informative. ;)

Where are you guys looking? When I look at those district offices, I don't see anything referring to the I-130. We filed a standalone I-130. Are you talking about the I-145? For our office, that shows on schedule at 4 months, but from what I'm reading that's unrealistic.... where do we find something useful?

When I check the numbers 10 behind and 10 ahead, I find they are all I-130s in Initial Review on the same date as our app. Two very close to me have been approved but the rest are still in Initial Review.

Ohhhhhhh mmmyyyyyy goooddddddd !!!

Ok so last week when i called the lady asked me a weird question she said :

Your case has been transferred to the local field office in NY has your husband ever been to NY

Has he ever been in trouble with the law

Having a case transferred to a field office is not the ideal situation .

All d answers were no !!!!

Ok so this morning i was thinking why d hell did they ask me that so i decided to call and i went through all d details of my copy of the i 130 form . Tell me why when i called on october 18 to inform them of my change of address the idiot that did it changed my husbands address too !!!!!!! She made it look like he was in NYC . Oh lord i went bizerkkkkssss ( i didn t spell that correct ) the nice operator put in a service request to have that changed and said that they will retrieve the case from the NYC field office as well. She informed that they will be sending me a letter in 10 business days . Soooooo .....

My case could've been approved but due to this it was delayed . Ughhh at least now i know whats going on and that i can at least enjoy new years eve !!!!

So if you sent in your i 130 and u did a address change plz double check and ask the 2nd tier operator a lot of questions like Darnell told us to .

Weird. For some reason I got two of them sent to my mother's house, but I did my address change online.

Speedwell, if you read my original post, the 2nd paragraph outlines that yes I130s aren't listed, but we know for a fact that they are processing I130s. When you switch between different local offices and compare them, you get an idea of which offices are farther behind in workload than others, it's the best way to judge.
