Great Idea. While I am in the beginning of my waiting period, it feels nice to have a thread of folks who are waiting out of the same center. I live in Connecticut my fiance lives in Italy.

Thanks for starting this!

Can someone answer for me what you mean by "touched" and how do you know its "touched" ..Do they tell you on the case status webpage?

Thank you!

You have to sign up for case updates. On the case status page will be a single box with your info, one of the columns says 'last updated', if it differs from your noa1 date, that means it was touched. Touched literally means last time someone touched your file, for any number of reasons, most are benign. If you sign up for email updated you are sometimes notified of this without having to check. People start paying attention to touches near their expected noa2 date, since they figure their file is being looked at.

I'm expecting mine this week coming, it makes sense with the dates of other approvals here and people in my group. If it doesn't come then we shall be requesting/writing some letters/going insane.

Got it! Hadn't done that step (only included the e-notification form with my I-129F packet). Thanks for the info. But my case hasn't been touched since the day after my NOA1.... grrrrr!

We got approved on Friday night on day 199. Joing the 200 club was really something I was not keen on doing. Thankfully we were spared that experience.

Now on to getting everything ready for package 3.

Good luck to all of you still waiting!

If people aren't already aware, there's Igors list So you can see what dates are being approved and an estimated speed that they're working at. Also a tip from the march people who were waiting forever was to change the last 2 digits on your case number to check other cases likely filed with yours. Check to see if it's a fiance visa and if they've been approved, no other details are listed, so it's still fairly private. If everyone has been approved in that group and you haven't, it may be time to call.

Thanks Soooooon! I check Igor's list each day as well. What's confusing and frustrating is that there are couples with NOA2s right before, after, and even on our NOA1 date. But there are others within a week of us without approvals yet, so I will hold out making contact until the spreadsheet fills up around us.

ahhhhhh okay I see well. I find it interested that I KNOW my file was touched but its not noted there. I know because I called my senator to understand the process more. They called the Vermont center and they pulled my file AND said they had it but could not expedite it any quicker unless there was an emergency. There isnt an emergency unless you consider a broken heart because I miss my love. So I guess it goes both ways...they could touchg it but not update that on your case status page....

THANK YOU

I live just outside Glasgow.

I know what you mean. I'm happy that CSC July filers are getting approved but its really hard to see it when we know we've still got a long way to go.

I think we could create a book "101 things to do while waiting on NOA2" it would be a best seller on here!!!

Got our case number today!. Does anybody know how long the NVC is actually taking to send them to the respective embassies???

Are you going for a k-1 fiance visa? If so your next step is a noa2 which means they appoved your petition. VSC is average about 5-8 months before the NOA2 is sent to you. There seems to be an averge of 6 months for some here.

Actually my k-1 petition was approved as of last week my NOA2 date is jan21. We don't get CASE NUMBERS from the Uscis. We get case numbers from the NVC. The USCIS issues "receipt numbers"
