we already have our NOA2 and the hard copy of it,what is the next step?

we hired an agent to help us with this visa but he seems like he is doing it the old ways.

he wants us to wait for 2-3 weeks for a letter from the embassy.

and what kind of letter is he talking about? Is it a letter that contains our MNL case number?

and how can we get it fast?

thank you.

You're supposed to call NVC and find out what your case number is and then keep calling until you make sure your case was sent to the US embassy where your fiance is from. Then the us embassy will send you a packet 3 (the letter) which tells you what to submit to the embassy and then they send packet 4 which gives you your interview date. Every country is different and requires different steps. What you should do it try and get some of the documents together now. Try contacting other ppl from the Philippines and ask them what they had send to the embassy and what they had to bring to the interview.

Good luck

Call NVC for MNL case #, once assigned you don't need to wait for the Packet 3 (you might or not get it). Pay the visa fee to any BPI branch, don't forget to print the deposit slip and bring the valid passport. With the payment receipt, you could set up your interview appointment. Go get the medical exam before you're interview date or you'll risk of delaying the release of the visa.

Good luck!

Don't wait for the Embassy to send you a letter telling you that you are eligible to schedule an interview. If you wait for the Embassy letter, it will delay your case.

Instead, you can schedule an interview as soon as you get your MNL case number from the NVC. Start calling the NVC about a week after the USCIS approves your petition.

By the way, if you want to read the eligibility letter which the Embassy sends, here it is: My link.
