Help us with a little more information. The receipt number for your paid fee? Where did you enter it, that it was not found?

It's not the top number, we thought that too at first! This page gives a screenshot of a receipt with the correct location:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ua/ua-niv-visapay.asp

It's actually an 18-digit number and we figured out that it was coded like this (used example from page):

010155070712133301

01xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx = day of birth

xx01xxxxxxxxxxxxxx = month of birth

xxxx55xxxxxxxxxxxx = year of birth

xxxxxx07xxxxxxxxxx = current day (when fee was paid)

xxxxxxxx07xxxxxxxx = current month

xxxxxxxxxx12xxxxxx = current year

xxxxxxxxxxxx13xxxx = current hour (24hr time)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx33xx = current minutes

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx01 = current seconds

Just a fun tidbit we noticed!

Follow up question for you - did you get a mailed invitation to schedule the interview? Are you going to wait until you receive it to schedule?

We did not wait for the mailed invitation. My fiancee just went through medical today and had no issues.

This page: http://ukraine.usembassy.gov/fiancee-step3.html is contradictory to http://ukraine.usembassy.gov/fiancee-step2.html

which is why I ask this question. It seems that before September 20th the letter was required, but now the packet only contains a link to the website, and http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ukraine/895/pdf/K_Instructions.pdf states nothing about waiting for the letter.

All it says is:

1) gather documents

2) do medical

3) schedule interview

I can't help with this, sorry. We went straight to the Embassy to schedule after getting the KEV number. ustraveldocs must be the service they use now I guess. My MIL did her B visa online from an agency, and maybe applied through this service.

Edited to say that Vika tells me you take the physical receipt with you to the interview, and that should clear up any questions. When we did this, the problem was getting the fee paid when the bank opened, and still making it to the interview on time. Since Vika's interview was in the morning, she paid earlier.
