Online check-in for Philippine Airlines and CC Payment Authorization?

Is there any online check-ins for PAL, I've looked all over the site and I can't seem to find it.

http://www.philippineairlines.com/home/home.jsp

Also, I'll use my card to buy Mike's ticket from MNL-LAX. Will the check-in counter asks for copies of front and back of the CC and Authorization Letter advising that I've authorized him to use my card? I'm reading different ones here, there are ones that says NO (just check-in 24 hrs ahead of time or that it was never an issue for it was paid already) and the others to make sure, YES.

I've always buy tickets for my sisters or mom (continental US only) even without me with them during the flights and they were never asked for it. Is this a normal process leaving MNL or another unnecessary steps that we don't need to do but stress out about it?

You guys have been great with responses so thanks in advance for all the help!

It depends on the airline if they ask to see the cc that was used online to make the purchase, however it tells when you are making the purchase you will need to show the cc at check-in, I can't remember which one that does it. As far as online check-in I have never been able to do that with an international flight as they have to check and make sure your travel docs are correct and stamp that on your boarding pass.

Leaving US they've never did. Also when we went to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur from MNL. I'm thinking maybe 'coz I was the passenger at the same time.

- and walang check-in online ang PAL

That's what I thought. Thanks!

Oh ok that makes sense. I've never done online check-ins from home before, I seem to like to interact with the agent or I do the kiosk.

Ok so for PAL it's a YES on showing the clear copies of the front of the CC and ID of the card holder at the counter.

http://www.philippineairlines.com/faq/e_ticket/ETicket.jsp

I want to book flight and purchase ticket for another person. Can I do it online?

Yes, you can book flight and buy a ticket for another person from our website. Our online booking facility does not require the credit card holder to be the passenger or a member of the travelling party.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To avoid fraudulent transactions and to protect credit card owners, PAL reserves the right to require that the credit card used in purchasing the ticket(s) online be presented at the ticket collection point, upon check-in or in cases of reissuance, rebooking or refund of a ticket.

If the credit card owner is not part of the travelling party and is unable to present the credit card used, PAL also reserves the right to require the presentation of clear photocopies of the front of the credit card and the valid PHOTO ID of the credit card owner at the ticket collection point, upon check-in and in cases of reissuance, rebooking and/or refund.

It shall be the responsibility of the credit card owner to ensure that the passenger(s) comply with the requirement. PAL reserves the right to deny boarding to passenger(s) or refuse to reissue, revalidate, rebook or refund a ticket for failure to comply with foregoing requirements.

Without prejudice to criminal prosecution under Republic Act No. 8484, PAL may cancel a confirmed reservation or may remove from any flight any passenger if PAL has reason to believe that a ticket(s) has been purchased using a fraudulent credit card.

in other countries, PAL needs the details from the cc. if the passenger doesnt own the card, he/she can always bring a copy if it both front and back. I've travelled through PAL originating from other country and yes they do check. m just not sure about manila airport. you can always call them to verify :)

This was true for Delta. I called them and they say if it was required to show the credit card, it would have said so online when you paid for the ticket.
