Me and my fiance met here in the Philippines.. we dated for weeks and he proposed to me. When he went back to US, he filed K1. We only communicate thru phone calls and SMS. I just want to ask if the during the interview, is there any possibility that i will be questioned about our way of communicating with my fiance??? are they going to deny the petition because of the lack of continuing communication such as emails??? It's just that we only communicate thru phone calls and SMS..pls help me..thanks :(

simple advice, know your fiance's info by heart, like his complete name, address, phone number, name of his parents and siblings,

his work, his past relationships etc... as long as you answer the CO confidently surely you wont have any problems.

Records of your phone calls would be fine being that is your main way of communicating. Some bring huge stacks of paper (400 page... good grief! ) but you only need a sampling showing continuous and ongoing relationship. And like said KNOW the details about your fiance.

no emails, no chats but we frequently talked thru my cellphone and send SMS... anyone knows how to retrieved an SMS copies from telecommunication company??

i have a suggestion for you so that you could able to copy your sms/text...on your fb go to chikkalite apps...then you will have free 30 text/day..after you type in your message you should copy and paste it to microsoft word..then put the date/time/cell # (for example:3/23/2012 5:45am honey globe# <63927XXXXXX> hello honey i love u) that way you could able to save it..and used it for your evidence of communication.(do it everyday until you have enough proof)

if your fiance doesn't have roaming sim...ask him/her to buy one is cheap anyways it's free to received txt and 25 pesos/send. just use chikkalite it's free. goodluck!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

This is a question for me too.

We communicate mainly by text and by facebook. We text each probably on avg 3-4 times per day. We probably email a few times each week, and communicate by facebook a few times each week and also have on average 1 chat session per week that's an hour+ (by YM). But we don't use phone calls. The connection always makes it hard to understand and hear each other very well.

So what should we take to interview? Just printouts of a sample of chat and texting? How much sampling? 1 or 2 screenshots per month is ok? We also have pics from my 2 trips to Cebu in Feb and in Aug-Sep. Is that enough?

Also what personal info should she memorize?

My family - names of sibling, parents

My demographics (name, phone, address)

My career (employer, job type, university degree type)

My previous marriage

Anything else? Someone said she needs to know my income but really what does that have to do with love? So she doesn't know my income. Is that fine? Are we missing any data she should have memorized?

Have a FEW copies of text messages. NOT 200 pages, way overkill. Your CO MIGHT ask for it, maybe not. But if you have a few pages worth of text/emails, or perhaps a printed log of calls to and from each others' phones, you'll be fine. Our CO was more interested in pictures than texts, didn't even look at the printed copies of texts and chats.

Any kids from a previous marriage.

Your mother's maiden name. May not ask at the embassy but for sure will ask at CFO
