Hi people,

So we met in February 2009, began dating in February 2010, I've included as evidence:

1. the first picture we ever took in February 2009;

2. her phone bills from December 2009 through September 2010;

3. my credit card statements showing purchases of airline tickets, bus tickets, dates, gifts from February 2010-September 2010;

4. Various photos from February 2010 to September 2010;

5. Some passport pages stamped with the visits she made into the US to visit me;

6. An affidavit from her mother speaking to our genuine relationship...

Is this enough???

Please have your say. Thanks.

Do you have anything from September 2010 till now? I'd say you're cutting it close with the "met in person in the past two years" requirement

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've abandoned this application

We married on Aug 24, 2013 in a small ceremony in MA

We'll be applying for a CR1 / IR1 visa as soon as we are able

As the last post said, if you dont have solid proof that you met as of September 2010 ( the exact 2 year mark within filing), you could be denied.

So you cannot show that you have a current relationship, only a relationship over 2 years ago? I think you have misunderstood what is required.

Showing that you have a current bona fide relationship is what will get a visa. AND that you have met face to face within the past 2 years.

Exactly. Any evidence must be from September 2010 and onward providing that your application will be sent in September. Anything before September 2010 is not proof.

Your evidence of proof begins 2 years prior to the month you apply. For example you apply in August 2012, then your proof begins August 2010 - 2012.
