Manila Medical Exam?

Can poor vision ear disorder tooth cavity hang nail or any of these minor imperfections cause a medical exam failure?

I know Filipinas worry so much about these minor things going into the medical exam

Can anyone clear up what exactly they really screen for during the Medical Exam? (St Luke's Manila)

Thanks for any insight or first hand knowledge

Hello I am also Filipina! Well as my experience they just checked my eye vision, blood pressure, urine, they took my blood for HIV test, X-Ray (the most important one), physical examination (face, eyebrows, ears, breast, loins, tattoo, and your private part) that't it and ready for immunization if everything is clear...and they will ask you to come back the following day for your disc and record.

Good Luck Sister!

Thanks for sharing your experience

I know many worry if eyes or ears not so good they will fail but that not true

They only check to see if you are healthy with no disease I think

no need to worry about those. they don't fail people because of that.. just be healthy and take extra care of your lungs, and you'll be fine. :) i had mine checked 2 months before my medical just to make sure my lungs are clear and i don't have any kind of spots.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone failing the St. Lukes medical. Even if you have TB, St. Lukes will treat you and then they will approve you.

The only thing I would worry about is any admission of illegal drug use. St. Lukes won't fail you for that, but chances are that the Embassy will deny your visa. I've only read about one or two people who got visas in Manila after an admission of illegal drug use during the medical.

Thanks!

No drug use involved

Just jetters over eye sight and a minor ear problem

I think these responses will take the stress out of worring over minor non issues

Thanks again
