Hey guys,

Still finding my way around the site. I was wondering if anyone can direct me on here or to another site or can explain to me each part of the CR-1 visa fees that go along with it.

I'm managing my money pretty tight right now, so was wondering on a timeline really of fees.

Such as, sending in I-130, $88 dollars. After that, etc. etc.

Looking at a total under $1K for the visa then?

Thanks for the help.

The medical could end up being a little pricey. Also, I would say the biggest cost by far was going to Rio for the interview. We decided to get the medical exam there for practical reasons and stayed in Rio for 5 nights. The hotels and food and transportation there are not cheap! Also, don't forget costs for translations, lots of certified (and original issuer) copies, passport, SEDEX to mail the visa to you, etc...

Any specifics on the cost of going to Rio for the medical exam, interview, etc.? Will be looking to get in and get out quickly. Also, what are the chances of our case being expedited? How long does it sound like it would take for the CR-1?

Note: My girlfriend and I are both 21, will be marrying in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil and I will be staying there throughout her process of the CR-1. Will be moving back to the US once her visa is processed.

Also, Palaço, I notice that you are doing something with regards to the US-Brasil as well. Was your case not expedited? Were you living in Brasil together? I ask because I'll be staying with her, and albeit we'll be married, I'm not sure on the details of my tourist visa limitations. I'll be staying with her throughout the whole process regardless, however a hefty fine on my next trip back to Brasil would be difficult. Also, we will need to travel back to Brasil every 6 months so she can take tests at her university.
