Im sure there is reference here on what to do next, but I just sent my original submission in, and i am waiting for confirmation of receiving it. Is this the long waiting period?

You are looking at about 5 months to approval at USCIS. Than a quick stop at NVC and off to the Embassy for more processing and interview maybe 6 to 8 months total.

But it's all dependent on may factors like what service center you get sent to VSC or CSC. Backgroud checks. Your country there may be more scrutiny and well how behind the service centers are. So brace for the long time anything else is a blessing. :)

Now, just sit tight and wait. good.gif This is the long waiting period, indeed! Here's the Flowchart and the K1 guide to have an idea of what to expect.

I suggest that you read your Embassy Info and Embassy Reviews, because after NOA2 things get country specific.

Whenever you get NOA1, update your timeline with the date and correct the Service Center, that will be either Vermont or California

Good luck! star_smile.gif

Agree with above info from dwheels76 and Celeste.

:guides: They can be accessed at the top of the forum page. The K-1 flow chart can provide you with more information on the process.

For meaningful statistics, consider changing from the Texas Service Center to the Vermont Service Center (EAC) or (California Service Center (WAC) when you get your Form I-797c (NOA1) notice from USCIS. The receipt number on your NOA1 will have a prefix of EAC or WAC, depending on your service center assignment.

BTW, you sent your petition to the Lewisville TX Lockbox facility (for sorting), not the Texas Service Center. The Texas Service Center does not adjudicate I-129F petitions.

Sit back, relax, get acquainted with the forum, other members, and become familiar with all of the information available on the site.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Thanks everyone :) I am still often wondering if there is anything else i can do or prepare to ensure my case is best believable (im sure they will be extra hard for this case). Maybe its just the worry  He is the best ever and i want to be with him so dearly.

There's not much you can do with your petition at this point. The only thing you can really do is start looking at the requirements for the embassy you will be going through for the interview. Every embassy is a little bit different.

Good luck! At least your at CSC. They are moving much more quickly than VSC.

When you receive the NOA1 (I-797C Notice of Action) receipt letter, it will include a number that begins with either EAC (Vermont Service Center) or WAC (California Service Center). You can view samples of the NOA docs in the VJ Gallery.
