ON THE I-130A FORM UNDER OTHER INFORMATION QUESTION #2 IT ASKS "EVER FILED PETITION BEFORE FOR THIS OR OTHER ALIEN?

DOES THAT MEAN ONLY THE I130A PETITION OR ANY PETITIONS.

I WAS MARRIED BEFORE ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO HAD FILED A FIANCE VISA TO BRING MY FIANCE OVER HERE TO THE US. WE WERE MARRIED FOR OVER 8 YEARS BUT WE GOT DIVORCED AND I RECENTLY REMARRIED OVERSEAS AND WANT TO BRING MY WIFE HERE.

I AM NOT SURE IF I AM SUPPOSED TO LIST THAT THERE OR NOT SINCE IT WAS A DIFFERENT PETITION

that ex is the 'other alien' so put down what you know in that block.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I have been trying to find the original petition from my ex but I don't think I kept it after she became a citizen I think I thew it out after we moved one time.

Do you think it will be a problem I don't remember the exact dates? or do you think they keep those on record somewhere that I can call and get the info without the old case #?

I've tried that before - USCIS won't release anything without a FOIA letter.

However, even with that said - you can write a letter of attestation covering the dates, include verbiage that you KNOW she's a USCitizen as of a certain date, and you DO NOT have her A# in any of your files. You probably have her SSN in the divorce paperwork - I say include her SSN in that letter of attestation.

For the form, though - list her name, and then for the rest of her data bits, write 'see attached' handwritten in black ink.
