I have several questions for the CR-1 Visa. I hope you guys can please help me.

My wife and I married two months ago in Mexico. We're both Mexicans but I have a dual citizenship in the US. However, we are currently living together in the Dubai, UAE since our marriage.

1. For part 2 of the form, what addresses do I use? I heard I should use my US address for my info and her Mexican address for her.

2. She has worked in the US before, legally, with a temporary visa. In part 9, when it asks for her social security number should I write down the one that was given to her. Even though her work visa already expired or should I leave it blank?

3. Part 18, I think I should write down my US address here correct?

4. Part 19, people recommended we use the address in which we live together, in Dubai. Similarly people have told me to use the same for part 21. For part 21, I've heard to put the "from" date from the time we started living in Dubai and the "to" date the date I sign the application. Is that correct?

5. I'm also doing an affidavit of support? this is the time to do it correct?

PLEASE HELP AND YOUR HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

Answers:

1. Use your Dubai address for both

2. Write the number that was assigned to her, it's her's for life.

3. Yes

4. Use the Dubai address for 19 and 21. For question #21, if you are still living at that address together, you will write "Present" under the 'to' date. Also, you are signing a petition form, not an application.

5. No, this is not the time the Affidavit of Support is dealt with, you will not be dealing with that until after the file has reaced the NVC.

Your name is written there.

When you file the I-130 from a foreign address, it usually gets expedited as is my case and that of a friend. So you are better off putting your address abroad than one in the states.
