My fiancee went to pick up her medicasl forms and was asked to bring long her passport. she did but they did not give her the medical forms and and took her passport. they told her they will call her when they are ready. has anyone experienced such

Not in Brazil. The Dr made copies of the biographical page of passport, but never kept it.

IMO, this is strange.!

Maybe it's the normal procedure in your country, best is to ask members from your country to know if they experienced the same thing.

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...

Ohh, I thought you were referring to the Dr keeping the passport. This is different.......

no interview yet. we dont even have a date set. we are working on our documents and now they keep our passport

Personally, I have not heard of embassy taking the passport like this. I have no clue. Maybe you should contact the embassy and ask them directly as to why.

I have no answers.. Sorry.
