Tax Return question

I've been told to show the US Embassy of Manila the last 3 years of my income taxes. Well in 2010 and earlier, I was married, so my Tax return is married - filling joint status. Can I use this, or will I be unable to show my tax returns for years before 2011? Thanks in advance!

Bring them and your W2's because it will show your wages and deductions, and it can be hard to get but a letter of employment which I was not asked but being prepared is key. You will be asked for the tax returns first thing.

So it's ok if the tax returns show a joint income when I was married then?

I already have my bank statement, pay stubs for all this year, and my letter of employment.

If ever you loose your W2, how can you get another copy from previous years?

It will be fine. American Consular Officer will want proof of your income and employment. Why wouldn't you bring them? Dont start gambling now!

There are links on here to order past statements from IRS and should be able to get W2s from your company

Your filing status in your previous return wont be an issue..make sure your fiancee bring with her divorce decree.
