We all want to be with our loved ones as quickly as possible. Unfortunately sometimes it just does not happen as fast as we want. So we come here and b@tch about time frames and how unfair things are..

Let me see if I can put this all in perspective..from my point of view.

You may have read about some American service men who were shot sitting down at a dinner table in Afghanistan. I know the family of one of them. He was due to leave on Sunday. He was shot 3 days before on a Thursday. Life is not fair.

My daughter lost two of her best friends ( teenagers )who did nothing more than walk down a street and were killed by a drunk driver. Life is not fair.

Is it fair that a 8 year old child is dying of cancer while an 85 year old man, who smoked for 60 years is still healthy? No.

And I could name a bunch more examples.

Is it difficult to sit back and see one service center going hell bent for leather while another just muddles along? Of course.Does it get under your skin that Bob was approved in 3 months and you are still waiting for 7 months? Of course. Will you at some point be together for the rest of your lives? Yes.

Will the others above be together with their loved ones? No.

Is life fair? Is the answer obvious?

GO to work, eat healthy, meet some friends, enjoy your life, exercise, stop looking at time lines, stop comparing your self to others. And before you know it she will be here.

Wow, this is just off the charts ... most of these posts in fact are very sad, but are under no ones control. All terrible and unfortunate, but again, there really isn't a way to manage someone not getting cancer, or stoping a suicide bomber.

The facts here is that we are talking about service centers, application processing centers that do the same type of work on the same type of applications. If the system were properly managed, ie. workload distribution, divide and conquer, etc. The issue, mainly one center servicing June apps, and the other just serving Feb, would in fact be mitigated.

There are unfortunate things in this world that no one has control over, and with that we are just humbled. But this issue with the service center processing in silos can in fact be resolved with proper strategies.

I stayed off this website all weekend. The more I observe what is going on concerning vermont the angrier I get. And I am talking ANGRY! Ruin my weekend, want to punch someone, need a drink kind of angry. Not just one drink either.. I'm talking 3 or 4. Please, before you say "YOU ARE A MAY FILER! Relax." try to remember how long we have all been waiting to be with our loved one in general. I can't speak for everyone, but my fiancé and I have been apart for a year and a half. We have seen each other a total of 5 weeks during this time. One trip to America (harassed at POE) .... Another trip to America (denied at POE. Is it his Turkish name? I mean really.) .... and lastly my trip to Europe. Those were the best two weeks of my life, I would give anything to experience it again. Okay now I am tearing up. Here is the email I sent Mr. Obama, maybe a few others might take the same action:

Hello Mr. President. I am writing (and in tears) side note: bring on the drama! concerning the USCIS Vermont office. Vermont's processing dates claim 5 months for I-129F K1 visas, however the patiently waiting public is aware they are going far beyond that 5 month time frame to approve petitions. When inquiring on the matter, the reps explain (and have been for weeks) that they are currently processing petitions from January or early February. California USCIS is moving at a much faster rate, already approving petitions from JUNE for K1 Visas!!! Its very difficult to comprehend why some cases can't be transferred to CSC to help with Vermonts horrible workload. Myself and many others who have connected via the website visajourney.com are very concerned, upset, angry and down right miserable. The CSC filers essentially receive "expedited" service while paying the same monetary fee! It is very financially and emotionally straining waiting for our loved ones to get here, let alone get past the first step!!! I myself have had anxiety/panic attacks and depression due to not being able to see my fiancé in months. Traveling to see each other is just not possible anymore on our budget. We and thousands of others are trying to get our loved ones here the legal and right way. I respect our country and the process to bring a loved one here, however there is just no reason for the time differentials. Can anything be done? We really need your help in this matter. Thank you.

So, long story short.. I am not expecting a reply. Maybe if I called him Barry or sent the email to Kenya I might hear something.

You are very Angry for no reason, cool off a little, per your time line your NOA1 is dated 2012-05-04, that means 2012-09-04, it will be only 4 months, the Stated time to process K1 visa petition is 5 months, You should get Angry if you passed the 5 months processing period. Yes some filer get approved (NOA2) early for some reason but the majority get processed or RFE at the end of the 5 moths processing time. Keep me posted after 2012-10-04.

Thanks for your concern mishka, lol... as I said in my email i could only discuss MY situation (which happens to be may) because i do not know anyone here or at VSC personally therefore I can't speak for them.. and how do you know I will only be waiting 4 months? My true intent was about the centers as a whole and the need for distribution of the files that are collecting dust at the moment.. the feb, the march, the april.. the few january.. if something isn't done we will ALL be waiting that long, or longer. Attention needs to be drawn to the situation in one form or another!!!

If you're stressed out now about waiting for 3 months, then you need to chill out because it doesn't end until he's a citizen, which is roughly four years from the time you first apply for the K1.

Yeah, sure it sucks more when you're apart, I don't think anyone would argue with that. But this machine is bigger than any of you and you can't fight it. Especially since immigration is a privilege, not a right. If immigration was a right, we'd have more legs to stand on. As it is, we just have to be grateful that our country lets in our spouses to begin with.

If it makes you feel any better I sat idly by while many of my fellow Dec 2011 filers were approved in May and June. I didn't receive an NOA2 until August -- 8 months and 8 days after I initially filed.

I know you know by now that you are still WAY under processing time. Write the congressmen and senators when it has been 6+ months for you, not the President when it's been 3 months.

Still doesn't seem right for the process to be this uneven, I believe it's this keep your head down mentality that allows for companies and govt. to take advantage of the masses.

Right or privilege, once the process is allowed and has public and private resources it should be held to a standard and be subject to accountability to those it serves.

I'm not the May filer. I've been waiting over 5 months as it says in my signature. And I haven't seen my fiance in 18 months.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm not concerned for myself. I'm concerned for my 13 month old who has never met his father. It is - I'm sorry to anyone who can't deal with this - completely inappropriate to allocate resources so poorly that there are months of difference between the same petition & country. And yes I speak up to say so, since that few months is a big deal to a little baby waiting for his daddy.

And as for stress from the rest of the process? I'm really not worried about that. I went through pregnancy, delivery, and baby's whole first year alone already. I can certainly deal with a little paperwork once his daddy gets here. I'm a pro at stress.

All I care about is getting him here. All I said was I shouldn't have to wait months longer than others - and neither should my baby - based on nothing more than the state we live in. I stand by that statement.

I meant the OP, not you personally (looking back at my post, I used the wrong pronoun: my apologies). The OP is writing to the president after waiting for 3 months in a 4 year process. She needs to chill out.
