Question About Pictures

Hello!

I am finalizing our Removal of Conditions packet (I-751) this weekend. I am including lots of documentation, plus pictures for evidence.

It's been a while since I've sent in a packet, and I just can't remember what I used to do with the pictures.

Do you all staples the pictures to a piece of paper, leave them in a picture envelope, or do something else with them? Of course I labeled the backs of the pictures.

Thanks!

Arabella

I didnt get carried away--but thats just me---I belive in Quality over Quantity. I printed off a few pictures!! I relied on more concrete evidence such as being on the lease or mortgage, car insurance, etc etc Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

you can print your picture in color on copy paper maybe two or three on each page an put dates an names places,NO do not staple any thing, you should really read the guides how to remove conditions evidence, the most importment things they look for is financials banking, jointy, file taxes jointly, like married people do.

ya, its still a picture and had a date on it!! Not as if I hand drew stick men,lol I didnt send a lot of pics or a pile of evidence, but thats a personal decision! Do you truly think they are going to spend much time looking at everything u send them?? maybe if u were from a high fraud country. But thats just me!!

I sent 10 or so and put them in a zip lock bag, then I stapled the bag to a piece of paper. That's what we did for the K-1 petition so I just did the same thing again. I don't think it really matters, as long as its clear.

Hi,

I always do read the guides. I've never had a problem with any of my previous filings. I have a thorough list of evidence. The pictures are just a bonus. I just wanted to know how people are sending in their photos.

This is what I'm sending:

1. Payment in the amount of $590 USD, for I-751 fee ($505) and biometrics fee ($85)

2. I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence

3. Copies of the passport and green card of ******

4. Copies of drivers licenses, showing the same address

5. Three sworn affidavits by U.S. citizen friends and family, attesting to our relationship and marriage

6. Copy of the joint tax statement for 2011, which we received for our joint checking account

7. Copy of checking account information, showing a joint account

8. Copy of our car insurance policy, showing joint coverage

9. Copy of AT&T phone bill, showing a joint plan

10. Copy of Authorization for Medical Care to Minors showing medical care custody of ***** for my children

11. Copy of Quit Claim Deed, showing joint ownership of a timeshare resort

12. Copy of beneficiary information, showing ****** as my primary life insurance beneficiary through both my employer and through a private policy

13. A copy of our airline itinerary for a family trip we took to Niagara Falls in December of 2010

14. A copy of our airline itinerary for a trip we took to Las Vegas in July of 2011

15. Various photos from 2010-2012 (labeled and dated on the backs)

I might do that too. I think that's what I did for the K-1 also, but it's been so long that I can't remember. I'm just so glad that we are almost done with USCIS!

No, I don't think they will spend much time on us. We weren't even interviewed when we filed for AOS. We just got a "congratulations you can skip the interview and get the green card" letter in the mail. :)

I just like to be thorough. :)

Agreed! I can file for citizenship anytime, but I'm not ready to deal with USCIS again... I'm content with my 10 year card for a while.

By "tax statement" is that a joint return/transcript? Because you definitely want to send that if you filled together. And for 2010 as well. Everything else looks great!

Yes - definitely have the IRS tax transcripts -cleaner for them to review and honestly easier for you to send/ photocopy

I just copied that phrasing from the sample letter here on VJ. But I did order tax transcripts so I will change the sentence. I ordered 2010 & 2011. We filed jointly both years. :)
