Over the last 3 weeks I have ordered tax transcript both through the automated phone and through the web. Unfortunately none has been received. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced same? What am I missing? Please advise

I keep seeing many people say they are using the online form and automated phone system and receiving theirs quickly and with no problems. I have tried several times over the last few months and never received mine. I am not sure why. About a year and a half ago I ordered through the automated phone system and had no problems at all receiving them.

You can get a human on the phone to order them that way, go into an IRS office and request them there, or use this form to order them by mail: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506t.pdf

I ordered 3 years of tax transcipts about 3 weeks ago. They arrived the following week, all on the same day and in separate envelopes. If I were you I would call the IRS again and put in another request. They will tell you if they have received a previous request or not. Good Luck!

I ordered mine and they came in just a couple of weeks, Unfortunately they were addressed the address listed on the returns.

I ordered mine online August 21st for 2009,2010 & 2011 and received them on August 24th.

when u ordered online it said accepted and its being sent? You need to call and speak to a live person. It shouldn't take longer than about 7 to 10 days. I have done 2008, 2009, 2020, 2011 twice so NVC will have copy and husband will have original copies (just to be safe).

I called the IRS directly, they were able to send them to a fax number.. which is more than acceptable,, I received them in just a few hours..

In April I ordered online and received my 2012 tax transcript in about 10 days. Perhaps there has been a recent significant increase in requests?

Keep in mind, they send them to address on file, ie, your last tax-return address. I recently ordered 4 years worth (internet) and received in 1 week.

I was just thinking about this when i was out and about wondering what address OP has on file with IRS. That may be why. Cuz those transcripts come pretty fast.

My address has not changed, but for one of the years I try to request my name has changed. So, I am thinking that could be the trouble with mine. Not sure. Will just request them directly to solve the mysterious problem.
