MNL # received from NVC, now what?

I just got done talking to NVC and they gave me our MNL # (6 days post NOA2)and no IID # yet (not even sure if that's even necessary to move forward). Do we wait for the NVC to send us letter and/or the IID # or consulate to notify us that it was received before start paying the visa fee and set an appointment? I've read here somewhere that we don't have to wait for the hard copy letter from the consulate to reach my fiance since all required forms are accessible online already. True? Enlighten us please. Thanks! :)

First thing to do is jump for joy. I like the name Tintin my favorite as a child :thumbs::thumbs:

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

i have a question, is it really necessary to bring your passport in paying for visa interview at bdo? because my passport will be delivered on sept 5th. and we want to schedule it before that date. thank you so much for your responses

I just paid my visa fee last Friday at a BPI branch and they didn't look for my original passport. However, they did ask me for a photocopy of it. You will also be needing your passport number (which will eventually be your receipt number) so I think, you have to wait for your passport to arrive before you can pay your visa fee.

August 29, 2012 - Received Letter of Eligibility from USEM (dated August 17, 2012)

October 2 & 11, 2012 - Medical

I'm not sure if you'll need the Passport book itself since you'll only need the Passport # and I'm not sure if you have a new passport that you'll retain your old passport #.

Also when you schedule and appointment, you'll only need the Receipt # of your BPI payment, Passport #, Date of Issuance, Expiration Date and Place of Issuance.

You guys need to hurry and schedule, Sept is book and I got the last schedule available in Oct which is 25th. Good luck!
