Hello and Congrats!

My fiance' went through the process back in April-May. The medical can go smoothly at time and can be done in 2 days. My fiance had to come back several times because she had to get a psychological exam. She admitted she experiment with drug twice in her youth. So, she had to come back the following week for the exam. If she does not have a history like that and pass her TB exam, she could have here results released to her in about 3 day after the exam. She needs get to the St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC)as early as possible. I am assuming she has to travel to Manila. I really suggest you book her a hotel to stay in during this durations of the medical exam. She can arrive at SLMC around 5 AM to check in. The exams begin at 7 or 8 am. I suggest she schedules online to speed up the exam process. Must have passport, 4 passport (2x2) photo, her MNL# from the NIV. I think that is it for the exam. She needs to get her exam done on Monday because the TB results takes about 48 hours. If she passes her Medical she can schedule her interview ASAP. I suggest wait about a week after the exam so the results can be sent to the US Embassy Manila. I hope this helps! Good Luck!

Michael

IMHO I'd go by St. Luke's MCEC website as applicants exam experience can/do differ.

we just finished our medical exam yesterday. I flew my spouse in from tacloban to get it done early, in case there was a problem, and because she has some other legal issues to resolve. In our case, the medical exam toke two days. At the end of it, they leave you with two items. That appear to provide proof of medical exam. a) CD with chest xray, b) Summary document. Our original plan was to fly her there 1 week before the interview. Be careful to check availability of the hospital. this week they were closed mon and tues.

Hi, I am from tacloban too :D tho now here in Florida.

Before i decided on when I will make appointment with St. lukes, I made sure I already got my interview date at the USEM. Upon confirmation of my interview schedule, I went ahead and made an appointment online at the St. Lukes website. It is easier this way. I have had my medical scheduled 2 weeks before my interview giving enough time in between medical and interview dates just incase some issues arise.

Since I have had my appointment for the medical done online, I easily entered St. Lukes. I went there around 10 and didn't go with the early birds.

If your fiance/e went through annulment, please make sure she bring with her the annulment document i.e the ones from the court. and ofcourse, you should have you manila case number and if possible the letter of eligibility...you can find the requirement from the st. lukes website...tho they didn't place there the annulment paper :D

Goodluck!
