hey guys! i have a quick question.

i got my husband's NOA1 on july 3rd, 2012, and shortly after moved to ecuador to spend some time with him. while i was gone, uscis sent a notification asking for further evidence, which my dad apparently didn't see (or just plum tossed out without realizing what it was). regardless, we sat around for three months hoping for the NOA2 to arrive. after no word, i got curious and called the hotline, and was told about the notification. the lady resent it, but of course we had to wait three weeks for it to get to the house, blah blah. long story short, the only thing we were missing from our original petition was a passport sized photograph of my husband (though i SWEAR i included that). my problem is, on the notification it says to write the A number on the back of the photo before sending it back in. i don't have an A number! any idea as to what i should do? i really want to get this photo sent in ASAP so they can approve his case already and we can get started on the rest of this paperwork!

thanks for your help!

Anyone else notice that the Vermont Service Center's processing time has been extended to 5.4 Months? ::sigh:: I had a feeling this might happened just right before our 5 months were up. Anyone know's what's going on with the office? Anyone else in Vermont heard any news?

This happened quite a few days ago.

Also, they are still working on May, so still a long time until your NOA2, unfortunately.

Sigh... it is so disheartening to see mid-September filers already getting their NOA2. :crying:

The ISO person on the USCIS hotline even said that petitions are processed in priority-date (NOA1) order... yeah right

Thankfully, there's only one more month to go  before we can file a USCIS e-Request because, by then, we'll have reached CSC's 5 month processing timeframe for I-130 IR-1/CR-1.

 They are only up to May??? Do you work for the USCIS? Don't take this the wrong way if you do, but why do they publish such unrealistic processing timelines then? I was hoping they extended the times for 2 weeks because they forgot to account for the holiday vacation time for the whole office.

sorry, had to make myself laugh at this situation: :hehe:

If you call and get lucky to talk to someone competent they'll tell you what date they're working on. It also shows on the USCIS site, it shows Vermont as processing applications from May 21. The information is there for anyone to see.

This thread has become very quiet... have all other August 2012 filers gotten their NOA2 already?

I ask because I'm still waiting for my NOA2 from CSC... :( (it's been 136 days since my NOA1! :dead:)

On the plus side, there's only 17 more days until my petition exceeds CSC's 5 month processing timeframe!

Once that happens, I will finally be eligible to place a USCIS e-Request to jump-start my petition!
