I agree. Don't get me wrong my heart goes out to all VSCers at this point, but I don't think a petition like this will do any good, ESPECIALLY when the August 17 update of USCIS processing times doesn't even show that they are processing I-129Fs at a slower rate than their goal of "5 months on average".

So it would seem that such a petition would only have anecdotal evidence backing it up.

You have to remember that VJ is not an official site. How would you prove that CSC is doing things faster than their 5 month goal and VSC is doing things slower than that goal?

Perception is reality, every business knows this particularly the government.

Well on August 17th they did process a good amount of petitions but I have been following Igor's list almost daily and there are about 3-4 days they they process 0 petitions and then all of a sudden they process like 7 in a day. I think that is why people who are up for NOA2s any day now are so upset since they go several days without even touching K-1 applications while CSC process about 7 a day. I guess if VSC processed at least 2-3 a day then they wouldn't be so upset. But who knows lets just hope VSC gets out of their slump.

Remember though. This community only represents a sample of the population. If there hasn't been any approvals for VJ members for a few days, we cannot conclude that USCIS isn't approving any.

CSC is approving at 4 and 5 and some 3 so where does this 'National Average' increase come from? It certainly isn't coming from CSC. Regardless, people are going to have to wait. Even if the average is a lie, 6 months is not so far out that anyone is going to be panicking at USCIS.

CSC are approving some around the 60 day mark, yes they have approved quite a bit in June already.

Yeah, and that's the real problem. There is so much a wide deviance between the two service centers that it becomes outrageous. The balance certainly needs to be addressed.

Remember though. This community only represents a sample of the population. If there hasn't been any approvals for VJ members for a few days, we cannot conclude that USCIS isn't approving any.

Based on standard deviations in statistical sampling, we can be pretty certain that something is amiss. Generally speaking, VJ is a reasonable sample size, and we can conclude that CSC is processing more applications and more recent ones than VSC. Making an assumption over 1 day's results is one thing, but they are MONTHS behind.

Correct. We can make assumptions that VSC is behind based on correlations. My point is that you can't conclude they aren't working on a single petition one or two days because members here did not input an NOA2 for those days.
