Visa Paid day of Interview?

Good Afternoon VJ members, my question is regarding a Thread that i read in which it stated that i had to Pay for the Visa the day of the Interview? I thought that was the $230.00 that i would pay once the NVC sends me the link to the payment portal via email..

Yes all fees for spousal visa are paid through NVC. Nothing at embassy except maybe your Visa courier service. Check with your embassy website to check that out. But no $230 thats done when you do IV Bill.

The thread you read was probably about a K-1 Fiance visa. I think they have to pay a visa fee at the embassy. You will pay yours through the payment portal once the NVC gives you a receipt number

That thread is for K-1 visa only all spousal visa are paid through NVC... K-1 is the only ones who pay the day of interview.
