It should be as recent as possible so maybe date it forward, nearer to your estimated interview date. :)

I am in the same boat. I am preparring a package of docs to send.

Do I need to send original copies of all of our evidence that I had submitted (boarding passes, etc.)?

Who do you use to ship to the Philippines? It looks expensive, any alternatives that are not $100?

Thanks.

My fiance is going thrugh all of the guides posted here so she may have an answer for me soon.

You can use LBC, which cost about $20 and should be sufficient to ship all your documents in one small box they'd provide you. Shipping takes about 3 days..

Goggle or Yahoo LBC express and you'd get hits on where they are located in your area.

Just draft something like the following, make shure you put in a date:

To Whom It May Concern;

Please let this letter confirm that I, ____________, the petitioner in Case No. ________________ do continue to intend to marry my fiance _____________________, the beneficiary, within ninety days of her arrival in the United States after obtaining a fiance visa.

Sincerely,

____________________________

You can draft a similar leter for your finance. If you still are having trouble, post here. I will be working on this in the next week.

The consular officer can ask you to submit originals of anything, including boarding passes, etc.

It's better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

The second letter of intent is similar to first. The differences are the dates and purposes. The first one verifies that you intend to marry your SO and fulfills the I-129F requirement. That one should be dated around the time you file your petition. The second verifies to the CO at your interview that you STILL intend to marry your SO (after 5,6,7 + months of waiting  ). With that said, the second letter needs to be dated close to the interview. Think of it as an update because that is what it is.

Yeah that too..it adds to the formality.

Something like this:

United States Department of State

United States Consulate, US Embassy of Manila, Philippines

Embassy of the United States of America

1201 Roxas Boulevard, Ermita, Manila, Philippines 1000
