My case was closed or completed on July 31. I have been calling NVC to find out if they have send my file to the embassy but they are not giving me any answer. Please I was just wondering if any VJ can tell me how I can find out if my case has left NVC.

Your case won't be shipped abroad until an interview date has been scheduled.

I can tell you No your case hasn't left. Because you are a spousal Visa. Which means we stay at NVC until a interview date comes up. Once you are booked your case is launched to embassy you get your interview letter and than you can proceed to medical and all that other fun.

I know ther's building quite a queue for Lagos. And it is suppose to be first come first serve. But still call now and than just to keep them on their toes. You may be able to get word of what is opening up. I heard someone report late last week september was still open. So here's to being hopeful for a soonest interview.

OK. Now I get it. Initially, I thought they will send your case to the embassy and then the embassy will schedule you for interview. I hope they schedule my spouse for interview in September. My guess is towards the end of September or early October.

From what i can see, other consulates are already scheduling interviews. I have been posting a question on the VJ site, asking if there is any one from the Nigeria who recently got an interview date. Since no one answered, what this means is that no body with a July or August case complete date has been scheduled for an interview.
