If your fiance filed using directions from USCIS they would have responded in writing first and again with the NOA2 Your timeline shows you filed 2/29 and you got a NOA1 in MAY? Fees for immigration are paid through bank petition still be active with the immigration? If you actully filed with USCIS your petition should still be active. What do you mean start over?

Do you have a valid reciept that checks out on uscis site ?

Exactly. Look at the receipt number on you NOA1 and to to www.USCIS.gov website and check that number if it is valid then you don't have to start over the process.

NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12

I see. So, your petition never actually got sent to the USCIS. Sorry to hear about you getting scammed. She can report the scam here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.e8b24a3cec33ca34c48bfc10526e0aa0/?vgnextoid=e309d4aaee6ab210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=6358d4aaee6ab210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

Have her read the guides here on VJ and file on her own this time. Good luck!

To the others that are confused by this post, they never actually received anything from the USCIS. The date entered in their timeline for the NOA1 seems to have been a mistake on the part of the OP. You can check out their past posts on this issue through their profile, like these:

That sucks. I did check the site. Looks professional though the design is not so great. I did see 3O something consumer complaints at www.consumeraffairs.com if you are talking about 'I'mmigration Direct rather. Seems many people are complaining about paying a few hundred dollars here and there for forms they could have downloaded for free and such. It pays to do homework before paying for anything. However, I can't blame you for wanting the help and trusting in their scams. You should certainly file some type of consumer complaint if you were truly conned by someone. At least you know now, and you can move on from this. You have all the help you need on VJ I am sure. Feel free to bring us your concerns. Good luck on your journey!
