When you file i-129f you need to send it to texas first right? Who decides if it goes to california or to vermont?

You send it to the Dallas Lockbox. That's a sorting facility and they are the ones who decide if it goes to Vermont or California.

That link tells me the "Texas Service Center".

Which is why it's best to go by the I-129F instructions.

The USCIS site still lists processing times for I-129Fs for the TSC, which seems to throw a lot of folks off. Bottom line: The Texas Service Center is not the same as the Dallas Lockbox.

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012

Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review
Wedding: December 1, 2012 | Social Security: New cards received on December 7, 2012.
AOS Package (I-485/I-765/I-131) NOA1: February 19, 2013 | Biometrics Appt.: March 18, 2013
AP/EAD Approved: April 29, 2013 | Card Received: May 6, 2013 | AOS Interview Appt.: May 16, 2013 - Approved Review Card Received: May 24, 2013

Not at all, I don't know why it would say Texas, oh well. I live in the south east so my petitions always went to Vermont. ROC still lists the states for the service centers.

USCIS California Service Center: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

USCIS Vermont Service Center: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, and West Virginia.

And the Texas Service Center (TSC) does NOT process I-129F petitions, they have other responsibilities.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
