YAY!!!!!!

What does the NVC do besides take my mastercard, give a case number, and send it to the UK embassy?

Packet 3 goes to the embassy, no?

I am so happy, i'm crying. I hope you all get yours approved soon.

Congrats on your NOA2! Definitely read this thread, it'll give you a lot of help: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

The NVC doesn't do much and you wouldn't need to provide them with your mastercard number. NVC will receive your approved petition, assign an LND number and forward it to the London embassy. Think of them as a processing center. In a week, start calling them to get your LND number that you can use to book your medical exam.

The packet 3 letter is sent by the London embassy to the beneficiary and the embassy sends it after receiving the packet from the NVC. The NVC stage can take anywhere from two weeks to a month or more. The packet three letter from London won't say much, just that they've received an approved petition and to send them documents and pay the visa fee (this may be where you're thinking someone will take your mastercard number). You can start preparing for the packet three now though. All the letter has is a link to this page: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html the PDFs in the upper right are what you'll need to send back to the Embassy after you get the LND case number. The embassy website and thread in the UK forum are your new best friend LOL :)
