Depends on the visa type but we got out our NOA2 on May 30 and would have been completed at NVC July 25th had we not run into a glitch. So, witheverything working like clock work it was almosttwo months. It took almost a full month to even ge t from USCIS to the NVC and get a new case number. However, it's hard to predict being that differenttimesof year and different cases affect the length. Keep your patience is all I can advise! AND if you are getting a IR1 or CR 1 or 2, check out theshort cut link. It's called lingche shortcuts.

Goodluck.

So my packet should be arriving at NVC on Monday, after that does anyone know about how long or how long it took for them to hear whether they approved it or not?

there's no way to know. You have to arrive at NVC. And there's no given you will arrive Monday. That don't approve and immediately send out. I was approved June 29. I knew something was wrong when the 15 business days came up and nothing. They did a nvcresearch check nothing. I called USCIS yesterday and case still there. It has now been immediately sent to NVC.

Here's the drill NVC says so act accordingly:

1.15 to 30 days to arrive at NVC (they will say case received)

2. 20 days to get a case# and IIN#

3. AOS post once case# is assigned .

4. Some are reporting a week to 2 weeks to get through this process

5. IV bill about a week from paid to papers in

6. Wait for Case complete no RFE's

7. Now the wait for the interview and may seems all embassies have dragged on. expect a month to 3 months. They of course will say interviews are only scheduled the 2nd week of the month. Who knows.

so really expect another 4 to 6 weeks at best to get through NVC. than wait another 2 months for day of interview. For me I expect maybe October.blink.gif
