NOA 2 and interview!! urgent!

I have been through the whole process and my fiance has an interview in Canada on Nov 20. I lived in NY and moved to GA. In the moving process I lost the NOA 2. Should I call to receive a new NOA 2? Will I receive it in time for his interview? I hope they won't decline our visa due to not having a NOA 2. We have everything except this form.

You will need a copy of the NOA2, that's for sure. If I were you I would call immediately. As for it arriving in time for the interview, that I don't know. Best to call though, and find out. Hope this helps.

You will need that form for the interview.

You would file an I-824 with the Vermont Service Center. Fee $200 OUCH!

Turn around should be fairly quick, VSC is a fairly speedy center, and all they have to do is look up your case print and mail you the document.

I'm confused. Why do you say the hard copy NOA2 is necessary at the interview stage? Everything on VJ indicates it is NOT necessary at the interview at the consulate but IS necessary for AOS. (That means you DO need to get another copy, but not sure if it's such a rush in time for the interview unless Canada is different from other consulates). Any insight?

Nope, I didn't need it. I took it, but it was never asked for! You will need it for AOS though as mentioned above.

We did not need it for the visa interview. You must have a copy for the AOS though. You can probably get by without the original if you have a copy.

This is when having copies of everything will save the day....people copy everything.

Call USCIS for duplicate NOA2 sent to your new address. you should have enough time to get it.....They can reject your visa without you showing the NOA2. Good luck

You won't need it for the interview but you'll definitly need later down the road when you file for the AOS.
