Proof of on-going relationship

Hey all, I have a question about proving a "Bonafide Marriage". I arrived in Serbia in Sept. 2011 to be with my wife and we have been living together since that time. Prior to that we had been talking on skype for around 5-6 months. My question is this : We cannot obtain records from skype that far back, therefore it would be impossible to prove anything. However, we have plenty of evidence of our relationship after my arrival (e.g. pictures,apt. lease, marriage, baby Does it even matter that we won't be able to prove prior to my arrival since we can after my arrival? You just have some proof of the relationship to apply for the visa. Once you apply for the visa, keep track of everything after...that stuff will be used for the interview at the embassy.

Have you guys filed the petition for the visa yet? As far as before your arrival, just type up a letter stating how you guys met. Also, if you used the same computer for Skype, you can go as far back as your settings allow. I had over 4 months of Skype logs I sent to my wife for the interview.

I am using the same cpu as before, but I shut the whole system down recently and it wont allow me to do so. Also, skype only allows me to go back as far as 3 months anyhow. I'm not to concerned with this issue though. My mind is just messing with me at this point, all the 'what if's" you know. No, we haven't yet applied. We're just getting all the info we need together but we'll be applying soon

Like the previous poster said collect what you have up until now and add in what ever you will have by the time the interview comes. They aren't that tough in Belgrade as long as they see that it is a real relationship.

Do you have emails, IM's, phone call records? I would go to the Serbia forum and review interviews and ask about the consulate there to see how tough or nice they are. Maybe pass stuff isn't all that necessary. All you can do is have what you have now. I know some who retrieved Skype from 4 years ago. Good luck.

The only thing we have prior to meeting is facebook messages. Do you know how to retrieve skype messages from that long ago. Also my computer had to be erased of all information on it due to some technical problems I was having. Eh, everything will be fine im sure of it

Well you have I assume Visa stamps when you got there. Any receits of movies dinner Its not as much about prior as it is about ongoing. Are you both on a lease together? Joint accounts. I wouldn't focus too much on the past you are together now and seem to have plenty to show ongoing thats key. And you are doing what every CO at Consulates love Face time together.

It will be fine. You will be okay.

Silly messages will pale in comparison to the very strong evidence of living together for months. Don't worry about those.

Yea I have stamps to show them. And we also can produce a lease and joint bank account. I'm not really that concerned over it just more curious to see if someone has or had a similar situation. We got more than face time together, we live together and have a child
