hey guys, i just got back from my Naturalization interview. everything went well no problems at all. i got the N-652 from the officer and on the paper i got marked

1. YOU PASSED TESTS OF ENGLISH AND U.S HISTORY AND GOV

2. USCIS WILL SEND YOU A WRITTEN DECISION ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION.

but the part A of: CONGRATULATIONS wasn't marked. should i have any reason to worry ??? anybody here with the same experience ??? :(

Sounds like the IO can't make a decision on the spot. However that doesn't mean they are going to deny you. If they do they will have to tell you in writing.

I suggest you sit and wait, after all the interview IO's decision is NOT final. Some supervisor has to go through it before they grant you the oath letter.

Keep your fingers crossed and wait.

Yes I did. I called USCIS the next day and spoke to Tier 2 line. My IO approved my case later in the afternoon. I get my oath letter exactly 30 days from the interview date.

Nothing you could do, just wait. Worry won't make it better, so stop.

IMHO you have nothing to worry. A refusal would have been given to you right there and then, most likely.

Were you at the Atlanta office, Princess?

I just did biometrics today - so it may be a while for my interview letter. I follow a couple of trackers and it seems to take a while for Atlanta lately. How long was your process from when you filed?

Cheers, and good luck :)

Not necessarily, but they don't just deny people cause they think giving someone U.S. citizenship isn't a good idea. They gotta have some good reason for denial.

In a lot of cases it's the matter of getting an approval from the IO's supervisor, cause the IO doesn't have that kind of authority. Princess, you will be fine.

Filed AOS from F-1
Green Card approved on 01/04/07
Conditions removed 01/29/09

Citizenship Oath 08/23/12
