If you are referring to the "Pardon" letter, yes it is still being used in Juarez. I was there during the week of March 10, and there was people there submitting their pardon letter.

Not surprising! I'm sure the COs get a cut from the photographer down the street. That's no joke!

If they don't like the pictures, do they allow you to go get them and return the same day or is an entire day that is lost because of a picture? Are there more specifications than 50cm by 50cm against a light background?

This forum is probably better for waiver stuff. It deals almost exclusively with waivers in Juarez.

This forum is for mostly K1 or K3. I don't see much talk about waivers here.

I found a new way to make phone calls to Mexico. The website is: http://www.marquedirecto.com/main.php

It is 5 cents a minute for cell to cell and something like 2 cents a minute for cell to land line. What's cool is you can change the Mexican cell phone number to a local number. For example, if your area code is 313 then you can change the Mexican cell to a random 313 XXX XXXX number. Then through your phone company you pay just as if you were making a local call but you pay MarqueDirecto 5 cents a minute (pre-paid). I also found a real authentic Mexican grocery store that sells pre-paid phone cards. I am assuming they get the best pre-paid cards out there cause 90% of the customers only spoke Spanish.

Oh, by the way, they give you a free 165 minute free trial but it felt like only 40 minutes were used before the trial expired. That is the thing with these pre-paid plans. They tell you that you got 500 minutes and you make 5 phone calls and some how all your minutes are gone :bonk:

The other cool thing about MarqueDirecto is that you can also change your local US number to a Mexican number. For example, I changed my cell to a Puebla cell number (I still have my number, the Puebla number is just an extra #) and Diana's mom can call us and the cost is as if she is calling a number in Puebla, Mexico. They didn't have an Acapulco, Mx number so the closest was a Puebla #. I am not sure, but I think they may charge a $5 a month fee for their service. We don't really care cause last month we got a $90 phone bill so that is why I had to search high and low for the best service out there. Unfortunately, her mom in Acapulco doesn' t have internet access or a land line.
