Got no mail or email.

Had to call them after 15 days.

Still got no mail or email.

Approved after 20 days.

My visa category is a little different; however, I got this replay after 3 days of the request. I recieved this on 5th July and no approval yet. I have heard many people saying that this is the generic response that they send to everyone who puts a service request.

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must submit Form AR-11 AND notify this office of their change of address, within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). To notify this office of a move, visit our website at: www.uscis.gov or call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283. The Form AR-11 can be downloaded from our website or you can call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one for you. Instructions for filing the Form AR-11, including mailing instructions, are included on the Form.

Thanks, yeah we got nothing and it's been 11 days now. Funny enough, even though they have 15 days, the girl there said to ring after 10 days... well no surprise here as they don't know what are they talking about... 20 days you say? hmmm yeah I have a bad feeling we won't hear anything till next week... there you go, what's the point of this whole service request!

Exactly, I dont understand why they have this feature/facility available when they want to give same generic response to everyone that puts a request. It was frustrating when I got this response that they will review within next 60 days on the 170th day. I read someone's post earlier that even after recieving this kind of reply it took in total 4 months to get the approval :(
