Too many Ramadan reminders? Hmmm well will there also be too many Christmas reminders I wonder?

Excuse me? ####### is this? The person that originally made the comment about Ramandan reminders is MULSIM so why do you have to make such a tasteless comment?. I am not muslim, VP is. Maybe she should refrain from fighting. I also don't tell people what to do on VJ when Christmas and Easter rolls around. I don't post prayers and I don't make threads about Jesus.

That is meant as joke, to lighten up the air in here...but anyway. That is why there is laughing emoticon by the comment. No one said you abide by any rules...you do as plz...but since I am Muslim, it is in my nature to remind God in everything I do. I think I donnot offend anyone with my posts, and if I do I am sure they will let me personally. ;)

But it is unfortunately lately, well really since I have come onto VJ I have noticed this, it comes in spruts...but one cannot just *express* themselves without the orginal post being torn to shreds. I mean I am all for freeedom of speech...I can take the good and bad...but come on...let us also practise some kindness too! Kindness is the highest form of charity!

Snaps, I maybe I should just post a warning label on all my posts...does anyone have that Post manual handy for me to read yet?

Oh please you knew exactly what you were saying. There is no need to make a connection here between Muslim holidays and Christian ones. You want others to practice kindness while making such rude comments?

Thanks but I am done, not even worth the time. The comment was no rude in any form, but anyway. And the connection btwn Muslim and Christian holiday...that I was trying to make was: there will be alot of posts and talk aorund the time of both Ramadan, Eid al Fitr, Eid al Adha Christmas and Easter ... and there will always be that feeling of *too many postings* on the topic...but anyway as I said I am done

I beg to differ with you dear. Hardly any postings during Christmas and Easter. :star: I think that everyone here would agree that the postings about Islam farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr outweigh postings regarding any other religion. If you want to be done with it, good for you.

I don't think what you wrote was rude. But I think you are both misunderstanding eachother.

JP felt you were making a dig against ppl who celebrate Christmas, and that they will go around telling ppl to stop fighting at Christmas time.

And the issue was not just the amount of Ramadan threads, but the people who keep saying "remember it is ramadan" to the ladies who keep arguing with eachother.

And I think JP meant that at Christmas, Christians do not tell everyone to change their behavior just because it is Christmas, because ppl are responsible for their own behavior.

Some ppl argue no matter what holiday it is or isnt and they don't seem to change just because they are reminded it is Ramadan. Same for Christmas, there is no point to say "but it's Christmas time" to ppl fighting on VJ, because they don't have to stop just because it is Christmas. They should just stop all the time, not during a holiday, if they are going to stop. It's their problem if they always fight.

Again, I think you were joking and don't think your Christmas thing was rude, but on VJ I've never seen Christians telling ppl to behave because it's the Christmas season.

Just think it's getting misunderstood...

And, as I said in the other thread, the "Ramadan reminders" can lead to people calling each other out on everything they perceive is unbecoming behavior. That would be poo-flinging at its worst.

Apparantly, the pic that WOM posted is originally from a very strange site which depicts many odd and some would say sick, pictures. So again.....NOT A SAFE LINK....but since it was copyrighted, I felt the need to site the correct owner of the pic
