I'm looking over the information needed for the K-1 visa interview. On one of the DS forms it asks for evidence of engagement. My fiance and I haven't purchased a rings or my wedding dress yet since we are waiting for him to come to the USA so we can pick out the rings together and I am planning on buying my dress closer to the day. We have plans for where the wedding and the reception will take place but no receipts since we cannot set a date yet. What exactly can I use as evidence of engagement?

Thanks for any help.

K1 requires that you have met within 2 years of filing and that you marry within 90 days of POE. You do want to submit evidence with the I-129f like pictures of you together, boarding passes from plane trip, hotel receipts abroad, letters and emails between the 2 of you and phone records, also any money xfers to your fiancee(not so important) that's what most people submitt. Basically the same evidence you sent initially with k1

By action is one a noble.

Okay so I don't need to send any engagement information just intent to marry within 90 days and on going relationship evidence? I will bring my I-129F packet and more skype calls, emails, facebook messages and so on. I will also bring more pictures since I didn't submit all. And I am going to the interview so I will arrive a week or 2 before so I will make sure to show pictures of us together with his family, passports stamps, itineraries and boarding passes of that trip. Things like that? And of course I am going to fill out all the DS documents and bring the proper evidence they ask for. I just wanted to make sure when they talk about engagement evidence I don't need anything besides what you mentioned.

Thank you so much for your help!

Yes. A new updated letter of intent works as proof of engagement. Rings and a dress are not required. You should both be able to answer with some details though about your wedding plans in case they ask.
