My wife is going to just change her name in her passport. She was told she must First take the CFO seminar, and get her certificate for that and her sticker for the passport. She will travel to Cebu to the office there to take it.

Its 650 PHP. for the class and certificate.

She must do this also, before she can apply for one for her son, who is only 15 months, and never had one before; hers she already had, but to change name, and then apply for one for her son, since she is now married she must change her name in hers first.

The CFO seminars are given in Cebu and Manila only. In Cebu, the days it is given are M-F, at 10, 130, 330, if traveling to the USA. On the web site, it gives all the info you need. I read this is given just after you interview also, but she was told its required before making her passport changes. Well at least she won't have to wait after the interview process to take this then.

It is the Philippines. I do not recommend paying the express fee. I heard others received in 5-7 days that processed and then more times then not it takes at least 10 days for express. My fiancee just paid 900p and they claim it takes 30 days. She applied March 3rd and received it April 18th so a bit longer than 30 days. On her receipt they stamp the date the passport will be ready which was April 18th.

I set appointment for my fiance' renewal passport online. Appointment was on June 20, received his passport Jun 28 = 6 business days. Paid P950 for renewal but i dunno about getting an actual passport. Then P150 for delivery express.

Go online and set appointment first: http://www.passport.com.ph/ all the requirements is there.

Just thought I'd share my piece! blush.gif
