Hey guys.. I called NVC this morning and they said that the case was closed yesterday and all we are waiting is for the El Salvador Embassy to schedule us an interview. Does anyone know how long that would take? How many interviews does it take? Would I have to go to El Salvador to interview? Basically how much longer does this take? If anyone has any idea or anything that would be great.

Thanks

For time frames, it varies by country, so you'll need to do your own research here by studying people's time lines and important time ticks: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op7=El%20Salvador&dfile=No&adv=

Typically, most people get an interview date scheduled within a month of case complete, usually around 2 weeks. And the interview date, on average, is about 2 months out from the case complete date.

If you get approved at the first interview, then it only takes one. If you get put into AP/AR, then a second interview may be required.

Only the beneficiary is required at the interview. Although, in some countries, the petitioner not being present at the interview is a red flag for them and could put you into AP/AR. But, this varies by country. Some are more easy to get through. I went to my interview alone and had no problems, but Canada is a low-fraud country. You'll have to do your own research about El Salvador.

Our Journey has been long and we had to have a lot of patients. I would love to be present and if God permits me i will be there. We filled for a K1 and for I130 and we got our I130 approved before the K1 so the K1 was dropped and we continued out journey with the I130. Once we got everything approved by USCIS and everything moved over to NVC everything started to move a little quicker. Now all we need to do is wait for the interview date inwhich its frustrating because we know its so close to the end but still nothing. From all my reading and research that i have done i have found out that El Salvador Consulte is very busy and they have a lot of cases everyday so its just patience and all this has tought both my husband and myself to have a lot of patience and when you lest expect it, it shows up. Have you already gotten your approval from USCIS and NVC or are you still waiting?

Yes good luck to you and i hope you hear something soon. Don't lose hope and faith it will happen soon enough :)
