Hey, Detroit office's people, how are your interviews today? I hope you did good.

The interview process was smooth and similar to other experiences posted on this forum. My interview was yesterday and my wife's was this morning - My interviewer had told me that the Oath Ceremony would be on Dec. 3rd, but because the scheduling system was down, he could not give me the confirmation letter. So, he asked that my wife request both of us to be in the same oath ceremony on Dec. 3rd. After my wife's interview this morning, they had a couuple of open slots for next Monday, Nov. 26th and asked if we were available to take advantage of it. My wife agreed and they handed both Oath confirmation letters to my wife. Overall a very smooth and stress-free experience, most likely due to the extremely courteous interviewing officer.

The lady was very nice, she checked my online stuff.... told me everything seems to be in order with the application biometrics, background check etc all ok.... but my papers were still sitting in Nebraska. She advised me to make a service request, even though I hadn't been the full 90 days in line.

Got home, spoke to a tier 2 person, who told me that appointments are sent out from the NBC in Nebraska when they send the forms to the local Atlanta office. She said make another service request at the ned of December (My 90 days is up mid-Dec.)

So, after spending time like a dog chasing its tail....I'm stopping checking my online status and my mail... hanging out till mid December, then I'll start running around, chasing congressmen or whatever!

But for now.....I'm done!!!

It would be less painful to not think about it, but i know its not easy to not. For me, I usually get a break from it when I have some tough assignment or Exam coming up which consumes me totally. But as soon as I am done with that I am staring at the Mailbox, email-inbox and USCIS website. I can feel your disappointment. I maybe in the same boat. Hope you hear good news sooner.

Hi guys, I received my passport today!

I was told it was goimg to take 4-6 weeks but only took 23 days. Now I have to wait for the certificate on naturalization to be mailed.

Tiger, yes....all's been cleared...So, as my friend Grasshoppr is too.... just playing the waiting game.

Pathan...I agree keeping busy with exams etc is a good distraction. I'm retired... so, too much time on my hands anyway! I know, compared to other stuff going on in the world, my citizenship is very very trivial...I'd just like it out of the way!

I'm going to put it right to the back of my mind until mid-December.
