Came home from work found out there is USCIS letter waiting for me in the mail box.open it and is the approval letter.but case still initial review in website.never received any tex or email even though sign up up for it.decision date 4/2/13

How will I be able to talk IO when I call the 1800 # about my pending case?

I think it's close to impossible to get anyone other than a customer service rep on the phone when calling the NCSC

You would probably in fact have to try getting an info-pass appointment

I had asked the lady why I couldn't file an e-request online and she explained to me that instead of using the case number from the biometrics letter (and any other thereafter) I need to use the first case number, which is only on the initial receipt, NOA 1

That worked perfectly and I was able to submit my request online at https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

Okay, we could not wait anymore and called the 1-800 national customer service number. We have got the NOA July 6th and completed our biometrics early in August 2012 but since then nothing has changed. We were wondering if they have sent any letter for RFE or interview and might get lost but the customer service agent said since Biometrics no changes occurred, she said no letter has been sent out.

She said she will file a request to Vermont Service Center to update our case. Hopefully, it can work.

Do you guys believe still there is a chance for us to receive a RFE or interview letter ? It is almost 10 months and usually RFE letter goes out earlier in the process as far as I know.

It's been 8 months ANd I was just devastated wen I got RFE last week

Well I filed my e-request 3/25 and got my notification for card production 4/4 so less than 10 days

Last update on our endless case : We have called the USCIS national customer service line last Thursday and filled a service request to check what is going on with our case ? The lady on the phone told me that no RFE or interview letter has not been sent for our case. She said she will send an e-request to Vermont and we should hear back from them.

While the rep was confirming our address, she told us that the city (Bethesda) does not match with the provided zipcode (20852) in their system. It mactches by the other side of the street (Rockville). So, I have told the lady that she can change the zipcode from 20814 to 20852 and she said now it is okay.

My question is since we have been waiting for 9 months, do you think this little zipcode change can lead to a RFE letter ? Vermont is way behind on our case considering we have filled back on July 6th and now they are already sending responses to August 2012 fillers. I am crossing my fingers not to have a RFE letter after this long but still also getting worried about this zipcode change. The address is the same just the zipcode belongs to the one street away, even my neighbours sometimes get confuse and put the other zipcode on their mailing address. Letters arrive without any problem so far since the street, apt number and the city is the same.

What do you think ?

a zip code change is a serious concern for USCIS officers and it will likely trigger a RFE and almost certainly an interview. It's not uncommon for the Bermont service center to deny applications in these cases. As well all know, a change of zip code means your marriage is not bona fide.

I've received emails and texts from them around 1 am before. Maybe they have round the clock employees doing data entry/entering files updated, approved, etc. Congratulations regardless!
