Ok.. quick question. What does it mean "touched"? how do you know if your file has been touched :-/

Login to the USCIS website and see if the date has been updated on your case. The members here call that a "touch". Supposedly they looked at or updated your file.

Well, looks like we folks are looking at late March or April at the current VSC pace. The processing time shows they are working on April 2012 filers.

I've had my biometrics done on August, been waiting since then. I checked in the website and they add 30 more days of waiting... This is really messing me up. I was planning to join the military this spring so I could start 3rd year of college this fall. Looks like everything will be delayed. Sighs

We can only hope that VSC send some of their files to CSC.

Not much movement from VSC! We applied for military expedite about 2 months because my husband got orders and we leave here in 8 weeks. We have not heard a thing. Faxed them all the info they requested and no one can tell us anything. We have even requested call backs and no one has called us or responded to our emails.

We did an infopass this morning at our local office. They requested our file so they can adjudicate locally so we should know in about 2 weeks if we need an interview or not or if they are going to adjudicate without an interview but at least we will know in the next month!

Yep so you can have your 10yr Gc for like 3 months as you should be able to apply for citizenship around July.

Since we all have a bit of time on our hands, I've begun to fill in the info for the N-400. It's longer and more detailed then I expected. The hardest part seems to be documenting the time spent outside the US on trips, including dates left, entered, and countries visited, including Canada. The plan is that we'll have this application in the mail when everything else is ready.
