I-130 Interview

Hello!

I am a Canadian citizen. I was in the United States for 5 months with my boyfriend, who is an American citizen, and a week before I had to go(I only stayed 5 months do to running out of money because he didn't have a job) we got married. We did not have enough money to send in the I-130 form so I went back to Canada and got a job. We now have enough money to send in the forms. Once we get accepted there is an interview. Since I am not in the country right now will my husband just go to the interview? Or will I be requested to fly there and attend the interview as well? After my I-130 gets accepted, will I have trouble entering the US or will they let me in easily? OR should I remain in Canada until my Green Card is issued?

The interview will be in Canada and the non-US citizen will attend it. There are many other steps between filing the I-130 and the interview. Please read the guides. If the petition is approved and you pass the interview you will be issued a visa to enter the US. After you enter the US for the first time your green card will be mailed to the US address in about 6 weeks.
