I don't know about Manila, but Bangkok said passport stamps don't mean anything. I had like 100 cause I lived there and travelled throught Asia for business. They said that just meant you lived in Bangkok. They said that didn't mean you were together with your wife, even though we had been married over 2 years by the time of the interview. They wanted pictures!

Just so that I'm clear on this: (pardon my not knowing) but are all cases adjudicated? I mean, is that part of the normal process or are petitions just selected at random? And when you say that 5 month window are you talking about when an I-130 is first sent in? For my spouse and I we got the notice inviting us to apply for an immigration visa (I-130 and I-485 approved) if we were going to get a RFE would it have happened already?

Oh you are Adjusting status here in the US. Okay well every case yes gets adjudicated. And your timeline for your adjustment may be about different I had heard like 6 months it takes. And the way it looks yes some cases are just selected at random. My I-130 took 100 days to be approved. There are still people waiting at 8, 9 and more months no RFE nothing just waiting.

Why the fear of a RFE dear? The RFE happens when they go over your case. You are at NVC and submitted all your paperwork why you think you would bet an RFE? how long has it been since you sent things in? Have you called?

Actually I did include the tickets, photo and stuff its just not within the specified 2 years. I would think the "2 years" was the minimum requirements to show that the relationship is bonafide. So I thought sending earlier evidences would be more preferred. I guess I was wrong. Anyway will be sending as they required.

How did you request expedite processing?

Can you send RFE online?

OP said he will be sending more evidence as they required, so I assume he already got all the points you guys are mentioning and also assume that he has the evidences. :)

Good luck for your journey!

The fear for me is because I'm flying "blind" especially in the beginning and so there's that fear that I forgot something or need something that is back in my wife's native country. Reading on here today is the first time I've heard of RFE. We don't have anything joint accounts, utilities, etc together because my wife has never been to the US before. But again the I-130 and I-864 ( I think I may have put the wrong form number in my earlier post) but anyway the affidavit of support, all that was approved. I talked to USCIS a couple months ago when I asked how to proceed with my stepdaughters petition and my wifes since they want to arrive at the same time but they have separate I-130's, etc. USCIS told me to wait before submitting the visa application for my wife and wait until my stepdaughters paperwork is at that point where I'm ready to submit her visa application. After sending them in at the same time I'm supposed to call USCIS and tell them so they can put both their visa applications together before sending to their home country where their visas will be issued.

You may want to start a new thread for your situation in the Adjustment of Status forum. Posting about a spousal visa in the K-1 forum may not get you the best answers needed and it may take longer for people to see your inquiry since it's in another, unrelated thread.

I'm a bit confused how they keep assuming the comment "I periodically fly to manila maybe 3-4 times/year to be with them.", means he suddenly stopped doing that in 2009. This totally sounds to me like what he has always been doing over the long years of their relationship, and currently still does. He just didn't understand one of the steps towards approval is proving the in person meeting in the two years previous to filing. Although the front loading of the petition should make it easier on his fiancée at interview time.

Exactly my thoughts!

I met my fiancee way back 2004. We have a child on 2005 then another on 2009 so all in all we have 2 kids. I periodically fly to manila maybe 3-4 times/year to be with them.

I would think our case would weigh more because we are more than two years and we have kids!

there he didn't say he visited them 3 to 4 times a year after , what we want to know here is when was the last time he visited here if he visited last 2009 and nothing more then i will stand with my previous answer, but if he visited them in 2010 till 2012 then that's another story.

To clear things up , I always go back to Philippines every year (2004-current year) as a matter of fact I'm planning to fly there this month.

Anyway thanks to everybody for chiming in to help and give encouragement  . I was just a bit confuse as to the mentality of the USCIS officer. Its very obvious I'm in constant communication and actively supporting my little family in Philippines(with all the documents and photo I sent before). But since the rule is to show evidence of 2 year actual meeting then it shall be. I will send them specifically the 2010-2012 evidences.

Its nice to know you guys are here to give support and advice.(Like a family!)

Thanks!

No problem then! You'll be fine once they receive your response to the RFE! Good luck on the rest of your journey!
