"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Is your wife's cat okay? :-/

Ya the cats fine. It just has to stay healthy another 72 hours and I'm in the clear. Kira should be hopping a train to Moscow from Minsk tomorrow and then she will fly to Frankfurt and from there to Anchorage and then to here in Dillingham.

Hi all, I just recently started the K1 process to bring my Beautiful Olenka here to the US. Looking forward to contributing and also learning more from this forum!!!!

Thanks,

Hector

Welcome Hector and Olena! Stay with us..you also have discovered a really good source of factual information on this Journey. My Larisa and I were married in Moscow on April 20 of this year. We decided some time ago we are comfortable in taking the CR-1 path. We have the I-130 NOA1 awaiting the NOA2. I checked today so the its in process, and so far no RFE's.

And as some info to the group here ..I asked Lara to contact Pony Express in Moscow to ask if they would hold her Approve Visa.International Visa when it is issued in Moscow (DHL used to do this but now Pony Express is the favored company). No dice! Nyet! So..this means the timeline to actually ship the Visa to her town on the Black Sea is going to be a bit tricky as far as Flights and Hotel reservations!! We can't be sure of the actual number of days the Visa arrives and we can't leave until it does! We'll be flying from Gelendzhik then spend the night in Moscow, head off to Domodedovo in the morning to eventually reach Sea-Tac (POA is JFK New York).

Our home is on South Whidbey Island Washington, and it looks like many are here from the Evergreen State too, Hector and Olena also. Lara and I will be visiting Ukraine at some point after her Immigration. My Brother in Law lives with his family in Dnepropetrovsk. Definitely looking forward to visiting! We'll probably take a side trip to Russia. My Moniker is the obvious place. Gelendzhik is near to Lara's home. It's a beautiful part of the World and many very interesting things to see and do.
