Hello everyone. :)

On the U.S. Embassy Manila Website it is indicated that there is a fee change.

This is how it looks:

Changes to Visa Fees

Beginning April 13, 2012, changes to visa fees will take effect. All immigrant visa fees will decrease, while the fees for some nonimmigrant visa categories will increase.

Because the Department of State was able to obtain reimbursement under the Economy Act for services performed on behalf of other federal agencies, immigrant visa fees are decreasing.

The new fees are as follows:

Immigrant Visa and K Visa Processing Fees

Type of Visa

Previous Fee

New Fee

Immediate Relative and Family Preference Applications

$330

$230

Employment-Based Applications

$720

$405

Other Immigrant Visa Applications (I-360 and Special Immigrant Visas)

$305

$220

Diversity Visa Program Fee

$440

$330

Determining Returning Resident Status

$380

$275

Fiancé(e) visas (K)

$350

$240

But then on the same page it indicates this:

K visa applicants who have been notified by the Embassy to prepare for their interview, must pay the visa application fee of $350 before they can request a visa appointment via the online appointment website or the Visa Call Center. There are three ways to pay the K visa application fee:

Has anyone paid the Visa fee recently? Did you pay the reduced fee of $240?

Thanks for your responses,

I apologize for my confusion.

On another thread it is said that the visa fee could or should be paid before the fiance is notified by the embassy. How is this done? What info is required? Just the Manila case number?

When you go to BPI to pay the fee do you pay it in USD or in PHP?

Also for a K-1 Visa the fee is $240. If there is a 5 year old child, does an additional $240 have to be paid? If so would you get 2 receipts from BPI one with child's passport # and another with mothers?

Thanks
