NA02 Approved woohoo!

Hello All,

Feeling really good because I received my NA02 with no RFE's etc. with approved status. Now to start researching my next moves.

I really came here to make this post because I never received any notifications that I was approved. I was a January filer and I really didn't spend any time on the boards. I just filed, followed the guide and then went on my way and focused on my life while the process was going instead of getting addicted to checking and stressing on the status. Well, low and behold I noticed that it was very near my time of approval but I had heard nothing. So I decided to go the www.uscis.gov website and punch in my NA01 number. SWEET!!! Approved!

So the point of this is that if you are still awaiting your status you might want to check the actual website because never did they update me or notify me even though I created an account and sent in all the forms to be texted/emailed.

The only thing in my application that I am evening wondering about is the fact that when we started this process we chose Guadalajara as our consulate and then later found out that Juarez is the only one that does K-1 Visas. I am not even sure that matters. I am assuming that either USCIS or Guadalajara will just forward it to the appropriate location and ignore the fact that my 129 said Guadalajara.

Thanks to this site and following its guide in every single detail (I did not change one thing the guide told me to do) we were approved without any issues. Good luck to everyone who is waiting for their approval! Time to finish my packet and get ready for the interview :).

Thank you all very much :)! I am actually getting that feeling of anxiousness that I wanted to avoid as to not become obsessive or restless haha. I suspect now that it will be much harder to control those emotions! When I told my fiance on Skype, I actually made her login to the site (which she had never done). Then I asked her to read out loud what it said.

After she read it, she was silent for at least one hour haha. It didn't really hit us until the next day. I remember sitting there thinking that maybe she will cry in happiness, or scream with joy. But in fact she did neither haha. She just sat there and you could see her brain processing the reality. She got up, and marked her calendar which she had on her door counting each day that went by after the packet was sent.

The next day though her emotions were much more evident! Now she is extremely excited but nervous for her interview which is just adorable to me haha. Her smile is finally returned and is big enough to rip her face which makes me feel good.

The after I-129F checklist is rather simple in comparison to the original. Especially since I already had made 3 complete packets during the time I sent my original in. Human Resources owes me favors so I will receive my letters from them today.

Thanks again, and man I am really having issues being able to hold in this happiness haha!

Congratulations!

I never really stressed at all while waiting for my NOA2, because I knew in advance that the initial USCIS part would take 5 months. So I was expecting that (Actually beat 5 months by a couple of weeks).

What has been frustrating and stressful for many of us posting on the VJ site the past month, is that after our NOA2 approvals, we all expected about a 2 to 3 week gap until we had our case number with NVC, based on historical timelines, but suddenly many of us have been waiting for 5 or 6 weeks for any news at the NVC. The California service Center seems to have been especially guilty of a delay in forwarding petitions to NVC lately.

Hopefully things with USCIS and NVC get working more efficiently, and your wait for a case number at NVC is not long.

Congratulations!!

My husband received our approval in a late txt message this past friday ... and finally we can start making plans in a good time frame.

We sent our package out in february and knowing it would at least take 5 months, we were surprised we got approved before that time (L)

We were not stressing the process, but feel relieved about moving forward ... I can relate to the feelings about the interview .. cause thats one sure thing where I

really dont know what to expect ... but I believe everything will be just fine!

Don't worry about what you put on the I-129F, the NVC will still send it to Juarez.

Once you get your NOA2 I-129F approval notice and your case is sent to the NVC, here is how it works for CDJ ::>

You can call the NVC to see if it has arrived in Juarez. You need to get your CDJ case #, invoice # and beneficiary ID # from the NVC before you can fill out the DS-260: 603-334-0700

Juarez will send the USC and the beneficiary in Mexico a letter. Sometimes the letter does not reach the person in Mexico because of the crappy mail system there. If the only one that receives it is the USC, it can be mailed or scanned and emailed and printed out by the beneficiary in Mexico. It does not have to be the original.

The letter you receive points you to the sites where the instructions, forms and place to schedule your appointment and interview is. The letter is the only 'packet' you will receive. You should go to the links listed in the letter. The letter will be needed by the K-1 applicant at their ASC, medical and interview in Juarez, along with the confirmation page from the DS-260.

Here are the forms: http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html , instructions (very important to follow and they explain a lot): http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/packetk10412.pdf , and CDJ info: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

While waiting, besides reading through the instructions, also have a read through the reviews for Juarez. It can give you an idea of what to bring and how things work there: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Mexico&cty=&dfilter=5

Thanks again everyone I really appreciate it :).

Jay-Kay, thank you so much for the valuable information. I have printed them out and currently going through the instructions. Does the instructions list exactly what the Consulate will want as far a "Copy of IRS Tax Return and W-2 versus I will only accept a TRANSCRIPT from the IRS directly"?

I make well over the poverty level etc so income issues are not even a consideration. But I do want to be sure that I bring with me what Juarez will expect as I am reading that each country actually wants different things, regardless of what the I-134 and other USCIS forms say on them.

I will continue to read the instructions and links you sent and really appreciate it. I have more specific questions about my documentation, but will go post that in our Mexico/Juarez consulate question area.

I read all the reviews lately and it was very resourceful and helpful, but it wasn't discussed if they took copies of returns, or if they were mandatory to take IRS Transcripts. I have all my W-2's and Tax Return copies already if that is sufficient evidence for the Tax Return portion. I also have my I-134, all my bank statements and company employment letters finished and ready.

I am so excited, I cannot wait to have her here! Has been 6 years in the making and man am I just stoked with emotion right now!

You are welcome. Glad to help. You can use either at Juarez. They will accept the IRS transcript or a complete copy of your return plus W-2. Congrats again and good luck with the interview phase of the process. :)
