i'm back... i'm happy for all of you who already sent their AOS and Packet IV to NVC, but for me... just today, my husband finally filled up the I-864 form and my sis will send her documents tomorrow... and we still have to wait until saturday to receive it... still waiting for my husband to pay for the other bill... i'm so upset that my case has been delayed not bcoz of obtaining the docs just because of the amount of time and attention they're giving... i cant wait to end this... i'll just be the one who will send the IV packet directly from Phil... :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I'm not any further. I wait for case #. Good to hear your moving forward. Remember you need your case number and bar code (appears when paid) to send your IV packet. I say so because who ever is the agent receives the notification about it.

Sounds soooooooo long when you write this down. Do you feel you get a checklist? If you do you should have send everything correct in the first place. Just kidding. It will run smooth.

I thought you can travel after interview date. I was told to leave my passport with pre-paid envelope. They will return it with approval stamp. (I say approval, don't want to think any other way). Does this take really this long?

My country has no electronic filing. But I say I still be good. DS3032 runs through email. I have on-line payment portal and the I-864 is one paper through email. Its the DS230 I need to send with DHL. But with case number and bar-code I'll send it immediately. (Even if payment hasn't gone through). The medical I do after I got the case number. (Its good for 12 month)

With my writing I just try to assure myself.

Have I forgotten anything???

It seem that 60% on NVC thread get a checklist but most of the time cause they didn't submit in original documents.

Usually after interview you can definetely travel anywhere you wants, but I would just waited out for a day or two to get the passport back from Embassy. I was in New Zealand and they send it back on next day for my wife. So far from what I have read....some country after case closed at NVC they will get an interview setup within 2 weeks and another 2-3 weeks to interview date, that is the fastest I've seen.

When submitting documents to NVC pay close attention in the instructions on what they wants, espcially documents. For birth, marriage certificate they wants them in original not photocopy or certified copy, original you will get them back at time of interview. Mostly NVC send RFE for and it a waste of time too. I thought you have to wait for interview invitation package from embassy stating the time frame when you should get medical exam? I'm not sure on this or how it work or is it just like justice clearance documents, but medical should only cost a day max to get by.

This is very interesting info. I will submit my original police clearance and international birth certificate. I do wonder: On this one I take my chance. I submit copy of my marriage certificate/attached to divorce degree. Both done in USA.

(I submit Form FC-029 with it indicating original be shown at interview) Hey, they came up with this Form. I might as well keep using it. They might not be to interested in my marriage/divorce (This is long over with) . I'm an IR5.

The medical might be country related. I spoken with the medical office. With the case number I can go ahead, it's good for 12 month. Some country say 6 month. I need x-rays done of my lungs. I assume I pick my paper work and X-ray up the next day.I never seen another doctor besides the one in the USA. So my vaccinations are all written in English. (I made copies for them to keep and transfer)

This all sounds to clear cut. I expect all hell to break lose.

When you filled out DS-230 and if you checked box Divorced and currently single, you don't need to fill out the spouse part and put N/A. Now for documents about beneficiary marriage/divorce related, you only need to submit your divorced/dissolution/termination from previous marriage only if you're currently single, if your status is married you will need to submit your current marriage certificate as well as the part 1 above.

The petitioner will also need to submit his/her birth, marriage, all previous divorced documents as well.

I would say check on NVC portal and read up on the documents requirement for DS-230.

Wow...just drive me insane. My DS230 is filed and I did as you indicated.

I thought the DS230 is only about me the beneficiary.

The I-130 was about the petitioners and relation to beneficiary.

The marriage certificate is just one paper attached to divorce degree. (This way they know I was married to be divorced)

I will read up on this in a minute. Need some chocolate first. I get back with you.

My DS230 required for me to submit the DS2011 with it, indicating I'm ready for interview.

Hey, I can't find anything indicating the petitioners birth certificate (which I send with I-130)

This is my cover sheet:

1. DS-230 (part 1) completed and signed

2. DS-230 (part 2) completed and unsigned per instruction

3. DS-2001 declaration for interview readiness

4. FC-029 signed that all copies are of originals, and originals will be shown at interview

5. Two photographs

6. (copy) of passport Biographic

7. (copy) I-407 beneficiary filed in Frankfurt/Germany

8. (original) International birth certificate

9. (original) Police clearance

10. (copy) USA marriage and divorce degree

This is it...I can send petitioners birth certificate. But it didn't ask. TELL ME

YOU are so correct. I found it.

Original birth certificate from petitioner because of IR5.

Thank you very much.

Checked if I got original. Not sure. Virginia indicates watermark.

Which is present. This must be original.

No problem. Just a references.....on your cover letter, Police clearance is reference to a certificate of others countries beside one you have reside now, where as Justice clearance is subject to country you currently reside. So it may just confuse some one at NVC when they read your cover letter and may trigger that RFE that you didn't submit Justice clearance document...just my 2 cents.

You owe me 2 cents because I take it.

So...instead of police clearance I write "Justice clearance" correct?

Anything other..??

Its in the details.

It looks original. It says to hold it against the light to see the watermark. Its from Virginia.

I see the watermark. I sure hope they don't lose it.
