Hello everyone. JUst want to share the good news that my visa was approved. I passed my interview last july 11..thank God that everything went smoothly from the medical to the interview... now im just waiting for my passport with visa to be delivered.

Congrats to you, did they said your result once the interview over? What question did they asked you?

Mine: NVC closed case...received email 1or 2 weeks later. Between email and interview I waited close to another 4 more weeks.

I have to wait two more weeks to get appointment date from NVC.Tuesday u have to face the interview, advance wishes.

fyi paying the green card fee before leaving is NOT mandatory

it is for the production of the card and can be paid from the states as well

the 551 stamp in the passport is the equivalent of a green card good for a year

This is good info. But personally I rather pay before.

This way I don't have to think about it no more...

Kind of the last payment closes the journey and when I arrive a new one is to start.

Just my personal preference.

Yes...Monday night becomes a long night. Hope every one of my alarm clocks are ringing.

Its a long ride to the city. After this I go to South Africa. hahaha....

This is no joke. I like the thought of teaching there.

there were two interviews. 1 was a filipino and the other was american. after the american consul gave me a brochure about rights of legal immigrants, i asked him if giving and telling me about the brochure means that i am approved and he apparently said yes. he asked me how we met, when we 1st met, how our relationship was turned into romantic, his work, if he has children and how many children, how many times i and my husband got married before, when was our wedding, where we are going to live... and asked me to show our wedding photos... it was a good sign for me when the consul praised my wedding dress and compliment our photos. the consuls were really serious about checking our affidavit of support... they also returned the previous years ITR.. the latest ITR was the one that was required... remember i posted here that i got an RFE about my husband's self-employment letter? they didn't ask me for it. i was the one who even informed them that i got an RFE in NVC. but they really didn't bother to ask it from me. everything went smoothly. thank GOd.

Should get my passport returned to me tomorrow. He said it would be taken care of today and send out today.

Usually takes 10 days. Can't recall what was said or happend. Neither what language was spoken.

I'm nothing but tired now.

Yes...there is an end to it eventually. Mine was a little to much. I need rest and my ticket home...

Yes i called nvc they say to wait still one lady said to call back on friday it should be reviewed by then so im waiting.......
