At least they work on it. Call again in 2 days or so. When they tell you its done, make sure to ask if their is an RFE attached to it. Just saying.

Their computer can tell you in advance, and you don't have to wait for their writing. But you are not going to have an RFE. goofy.gif

My 864w was quick. I assume because it only entailed one paper for me to sign.

hoping to call coming tuesday,its weekend now so they may be in holiday.

Called USCIS today to file a service request as today is the 5 month 1 day mark. I was told that VSC is still working on May and it will be about 20 days till they get to my petition, PD June 4th. So

DCF is Direct Consular Filing. Where the USC lives abroad and the I-130 is therefore sent to the USCIS field office at the local consulate. Much MUCH quicker than filing to USCIS in the States.

Now that everything is send on your side, get ready for interview. Just check what your consulate requires for you to have.

Organize all you documents and keep busy.

who is "consulate", normally what documents they ask for? is this documents for interview or before interview???

NVC is having huge anual delay sale going on. Ever since they launch all new I-864 form their staff have to learn and adapt to new form which will take few months to be in the comfort zone. This mean extra delay on everything else.

The new form looks UGLY....fill in boxes are not align so it's difficult to look at.

Consulate is your US embassy.

Documents are for interview.

Pretty much they will have everything from NVC.

But check what they require and when you can get medical done.

Read what Readerchoice wrote.

I pray to didn't fill out the new version of 864.

I heard of it. Its devastating for anyone who waited this long, and having to wait longer.

Don't say extra delay on everything.

DS230 and 864 are 2 different departments. DO NOT drive me to insanity.rofl.gif

I'm not to concerned. They only need to computerize my last paper.

hello everyone! im back after a long vcation with my husband. we received an email from NVC telling us that they just closed our case and forwarded our papers to the embassy but i have to bring the missing documents during the interview. apparently, my husband got an RFE, supporting document for his self-employment status. we already submitted a self-employment letter but that ws not enough i guess. they're asking for a written explanation about my husband's work. he is a limo driver and doesnt have a business license.

anyone who can help me how to write that letter of explanation about his work? what should i include?

Hey, happy to hear you had a good time. I can't help you on you question.

A business license isn't hard to get, and brings his status into a different light for NVC.

Maybe someone else can help.

My marriage termination hasn't been reviewed yet.

But I was told this to be the only thing before interview date is assigned.

The ending is the longest stretch.. content.gif

keep on calling them.

My documents is forwarded to New York Office,United States (Aramex express).Stil NVC dnt received yet.

I hope to get home before my birthday. Would be a nice goal of the mind.
