You should not feel horrible. You got extremely lucky, and you should be happy.

It's the wording of your title that is mostly upsetting people, I believe. It's hard to claim the system works when there are so many people waiting up to 7 or 8 months for an approval when it's obvious that it can be done much quicker.

True! Thanks for clarifying this! I will be more mindful of the titles of future posts!

Congratulations!

Yes, it's not fair that you were approved so quickly when others are waiting 6+ months, but believe me, anybody would happily accept a 10-day approval. And then everybody would else would be raining on their parade and they wouldn't care! Why? because they were approved so quickly hahahaha.

Once again, congrats.

Good luck! Hope the rest of your journey goes smooth.

I think the service centers do this once in a while just to piss off VJ members.

Congrats on the quick approval and I really do hope that your father will be with you to celebrate your wedding. There's no jealousy from us here, as it seems that someone or something knew your petition needed a quick approval due to your family situation. Hopefully the rest of your journey is quick and uneventful!

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Glad to see someone else that shares my view.

Waiting 5 months to get an RFE or decision is ridiculous.

Last time I brought this up I was shouted down and told that I should be grateful.

Perhaps the NOA2 comes so fast because the embassy takes a LONG time for the interview? It looks like most of the NOA2's for Haiti come super fast but the interview takes many months - putting the full process in the same time frame as most people.

Here's the overall view....

It's a false statement... They are working fast on some petitions from certain countries, that's more accurate!

Not necessarily...I filed in February. My fiance is from Haiti. We haven't heard anything yet. :(

I'm sorry and I don't mean to "rain on your parade". Definitely happy for you. But I did read where you posted that you HAD sent in an expedite request with your original petition and it was denied? Is this correct?

Makes me want to find a reason to send in an expedite request and have it "denied" and see if I receive my NOA2 a few days later.

Just saying. Makes you think.

Edit: I saw another topic that you had posted in here in VJ.
